Running, running, running.. just have to keep running!

Last weekend one my besties and I ran the 5K for Autism in Southwood. This was my 5th race this year and it just gets better. We both improve each time. This time I improved my time by a little over a minute. Here's a picture of me crossing the finish line, it's dorky but I like it. My next adventure (not that I am going to stop running) will be the "Insanity" work-out program! I can't wait. I am really working hard to make a life-style change, no dieting here! I checked out 3 healthy cookbooks from the library yesterday and I've started a support group at school. I just wish that I would have started this years ago!

Destin

The last weekend of spring break landed us in Destin. Chris put us up in their condo, while Wes helped him work in the new Fat Daddy's that is opening up right beside Fudpucker's! Unfortunately Vickie, Chance, and Taylor weren't there (they had games and tennis matches at home in Alabama). The kids and I went to The Track on Saturday. That night we went shopping at Alvin's Island and it was more fun than expected. On Sunday the kids and I went to the pool and then back to the condo to pack up and shower. When Wes was finished working we went back to the track for a few minutes so that he could ride the "big" go-carts. Before heading home we ate one of Wes's favorite restuarants, Hard Rock Cafe.

St. George Island

On Tuesday and Wednesday of spring break we went to "the island", which is one of our favorite get-a-ways! Wyatt was not too excited about the water, in fact he was terrified even when we were holding him. He did however play in the sand all day! Zac and Gracie loved to brave the waves. On Wednesday we were able to hang out with Brandon, Sydney, Melanie, Christa, Trevor, and Brooke

Easter

On Saturday we went to Ivan Assembly for an egg hunt, games, food, and then we went home to dye eggs. Sunday morning the kids got a little something from mommy and daddy the Easter bunnies and then it was off to church. After church Papa had lots of meat smoked and we all brought sides. He had also hid over 50 prize eggs on the trail around his house and we also brought more eggs to hide. It was great to see my stepbrother Ben and his family again.

Awards and WHS Baseball

April 2nd was a busy day! I took off from work for a little bit to attend Zac's 3rd nine weeks awards assembly, he received a ribbon for all A's and one for being a Super Citizen. Gracie made all E's and made Super Citizen but there is not a ceremony for kindergarten. That night Zac and I went to watch the War Eagles take on Liberty County, the game ended in the 5th inning with the War Eagles winning 15 to 0.

Wes turns 33, Tommy gets married, and more baseball

The month of March made Wes another year older. We did yardwork and housework all day until that evening when we celebrated with a few friends. On the 27th we went over to Freeport for two big events. That morning I ran a 10k at Hammock Bay in support of Misty Williams while Wes took the kids to park. That afternoon we attended Tommy and Mary's wedding. Zac has now finished pitching machine, but baseball only ends for two weeks. After spring break he will start player-pitch.
