Jacob's 3rd Birthday

On Saturday we celebrated my nephew's 3rd birthday at Wakulla Springs. We don't get to see my stepbrother and his family a lot, so it was extra special to celebrate a birthday with them. The menu was kid friendly: hotdogs, chips, cake, and watermelon. After the feast and presents we all went down to enjoy the 68 degree water!

Zoinks.... for free!

On Wednesday's we babysit the Cardoza boys, so I decided it would be fun to take the kids to Zoinks. The best part is that during the summer on Wednesday afternoons it is completely free! Melanie, Sydney, and Brandon met us there along with Mikaela and Teena. Even Wyatt was able to slide, thanks to Sydney. The kids burned off some energy for about 2 hours and then it was time to go home and eat dinner. Too bad adults aren't allowed on the bounceys. Sorry for the clarity on some of the pics, my camera has been acting a little sick.

A little this and that and GG's birthday lunch!

The first pictures in the slideshow are from our trip to Aunt Stacy's pool. Brooke tagged along with the kids, Justin, Jacob and I. Wes drove over after work. Stacy and Courtney helped us with the kids and Sarah's dog Axel got a lot of attention, whether it was wanted or not. Last weekend we drove over to Freeport on Saturday to have a birthday lunch with Granny and spend a little time with Mom before she went in for surgery. Tina prepared ham, peas, rolls, salad, and red velvet cake for us and it was delicious! That night "the girls" went shopping to buy food to cook tacos (of course all my idea). The trip also included a few creek trips. Betsy will post better creek pictures on her blog. We stayed in Freeport until Monday after the surgery.

July 4th Weekend

July 4th weekend was awesome because we spent so much time with our close friends and family. On Saturday we went to Wakulla Springs with the Cardoza’s and the Rentz Family while Grandma and P-pa stayed home to shell peas and go shopping for watermelons and cantaloupes. That evening we all headed down to Sopchoppy to meet up with the Gators (the Gainesville Hollington’s) and Aaron, Jess, and Brayden. Sopchoppy was super crowded this year, but the show was great. On Sunday after enjoying a big breakfast we went to Brayden’s 4th birthday party. The party centered on the pool and the awesome slide that the adults even enjoyed. Sunday night was spent with the Cardoza’s; we set off some fireworks in their driveway while also enjoying several neighbors’ fireworks as well. The weekend was busy, but oh so fun!

A tribute to Wes for Father's Day!

For Father's Day this year we celebrated at home this by inviting Papa Sid over and cooking Wes's favorite meal: homemade chicken tenders and mashed potatoes. For dessert we had key lime pie, cake, icecream, and banana pudding! The slide show has about 2/3 of the pictures that I gathered together of Wes and the kids. I had to go back and scan a lot of Zac and even some of Gracie's early pictures.
