Wyatt enjoys playing in the water hose too!
Zac and Gracie love playing in the water hose, so we decided to let Wyatt join in on the fun. To make it easier for me we put him in the bumbo and the big kids brought the hose to the porch. He loved it! We also went to Wakulla Springs again this week with Mel, Brandon, Sydney, Divida, McKenna, Avery, and Teena. Wyatt allowed Melanie to put him in the water this time, I think it's because it has been 100 degrees all week!
Haley & Mission San Luis
Today we went over to Christa's house to swim and we ended up bringing home a cute little kitten. Gracie has named her Haley. After swimming and adopting a kitten we went to Mission San Luis (sponsored by our local library). Mission San Luis was the Spanish capital of the west, compared to St. Augustine in the east. The mission was much more primitive than St. Augustine and it incorporated more of the local Appalachee Indian tradition. The picture here is of the Council House. Notice the small opening, this is to keep people from bringing weapons in. The building held about 2,000 people and there was a fire going year round. The fort contained about 50soldiers and the land was cleared two miles around for protection, so they could see what was coming. I suggest that you go and visit if you're in the area, it's free. (They do ask that you make a small donation if possible).

Party time!
Beach time!!!
After church on Sunday Wes and I took the kids to Shell Point. The beach isn't what Wes is used to, but we had a good time. Wes, Zac, and Gracie stayed busy looking for shells and crabs while Wyatt and I relaxed under the umbrella. Wyatt seemed to like the ocean water better than the cold spring water.

Summer time is fun time!
On Monday we packed our lunch and met the Justin, Jacob, Tina, Dylan, Cassie, and Abigail at the new park in Crawfordville. Tuesday we went to the library for some hilarious stories by Pat Nease and today we went to Wakulla Springs. Wyatt wasn't so sure about the cold water, but the big kids loved it.
Family Reunion and Travis & Cassie's Wedding
Last weekend we headed to Freeport for two big occasions and for the first time we stayed at Aunt Tina's house. Gracie has a blast playing with her cousin Aubriyah. On Saturday we attended Cassie and Travis's wedding, it was gorgeous! Sunday we headed over to Sid and Melinda's for the annual HOllington reunion. The kids we are able to play on the zipline that was put up just for the reunion and ride Betsy (no not Aunt Betsy but the golf cart named Betsy). The weather was great as was the food!
